AutoLink History
HISTORY
Auto Link, Inc. was born from an early life-long passion for automobiles. Joel Lyles has always been in, around, working on and selling cars for as long as he can remember. Auto Link, Inc. and his entire pre-owned sales and service center are not a dream come true for him but rather it is a person living his passion.

Joel got his business feet underneath him in the seventies when he opened Lyles Service Center in Purcellville, VA. Not long after, Joel had earned a reputation for fair and extremely kowledgeable service facility. In the early eighties he opened up at his current location at 101 East Colonial Highway. He was the first and at that time the only independent service station specializing in foreign car service. They were known all around the region as the place to go if you had a VW or a 240Z that needed worked on. In the beginning, the Hamilton location was also a thriving Exxon filling station as well as a complete five bay service station.

In 1981, Joel Lyles got his dealer license enabling him to add sales to the mix. Using the same high standards in sales that he adopted in service, Auto Link, Inc. quickly became known as a fair and honest dealer in Northern Virginia. Today they specialize in highline, late model import cars and trucks. They also are the dealership to turn to when you are in the market for a pre-owned motorcycle. Joel has enjoyed riding motorcycles himself since 1974.

Another chapter of Mr. Lyles' successful career worth mentioning is the time and effort he put forth serving on Virginia's inaugural Motor Vehicle Dealer Board. The MVDB is a government regulatory body made up of government officials and a few select car dealers. Joel saw this as an opportunity to bring Quality to the car industry. He served on the board for eight years at the request of and commissioned by three governors, George Allen, James Gilmore and Mark Warner. Joel has received several commendations and accolades for his service and dedication. Joel is also proud of his commitment to and support of Virginia Independent Automobile Dealers Association. Currently he serves as VIADA District 4's Vice-President.

The popularity of Auto Link, Inc. is directly attributed to the history and reputation of Joel Lyles and his service department. Those that know Joel personally may remember him for his contributions to local schools and as a supporter of our local government. He was born and raised in this area. Joel likes to say to others, "It is a great feeling to be able to sell a vehicle without any deception, any lies or any pressure to the customer." Our mission at Auto Link, Inc. is to supply above average, reliable transportation to all our customers.
